was so
cool.
The
projects were started, the kids were aware. That Old St Nicholas soon would be
there.
The
children were working hard all day long. While inside the halls were filled
with fun song.
And
teachers were waiting for December Seventeen. When up go their feet in front of
the widescreen.
When
outside the school there arose such a clatter. We sprang from our desks to see
what was the matter.
Away to
the window we flew like a flash. “Slow down” said the teacher “the window might
smash!”
The sun
was shining on fresh fallen snow. As outside we looked on white blankets below.
When what
to my wondering eyes should appear. A school bus and cab that filled us with
cheer
As we
looked out more closely, to our great surprise. There were 38 feet and 20
bright eyes.
“What’s
that Mrs. Wood?” said the ESI class. “Look at the red suit and the buckle of
brass.”
“Can
anyone guess who came out here today?” “In a big yellow bus, instead of a
sleigh.”
“It’s
Santa and all of his special reindeer!” “At St. Boniface School to fill us with
cheer.”
Now
Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen! On Comet, on Cupid, On Donna and
Blitzen!
To the
North Pole please take all this Calgary snow. But please come back soon to our
city below!
As we all
settled down in the classroom that day. With talks of St. Nick and his Big
Yellow sleigh
The kids
were excited by such a great sight. Merry Christmas to all and to all a Goodnight.
